Welcome to Our Worldwide English Literacy Program

You may be wondering who we are and want to hear it straight from the horse’s mouth, right? Well, neeeeeeigh, you got it. We are about making reading fun and efficacious for everyone—native English speakers, foreign speakers, the very young, the not-so-young, fast learners, and not-so-fast learners, and by no means least of all—children with challenges such as dyslexia. Overall, we are about helping future scholars become fully actualized. That is, reaching their full potential, becoming Independent, Critical thinkers.

​Firstly, all 361 rhyming stories of The Red Well-Read Reader, the flagship product of our program, are easy to decode (i.e., to read without necessarily comprehending). By and large, each story has one main rhyme, mostly spelled with the same ending. This feature prevents slow learners from ever feeling down and out and wanting to give up on reading altogether. Secondly, because many of these stories are beyond the ken of most students in part, fast learners will never get bored. How so? you may be quizzically asking yourself! The answer is in the fact that while parents or teachers are laughing with tongue in cheek, youngsters, sensing but not comprehending the highbrow humor will yearn to learn what they are missing.

Regarding the Totally Literate program in general, all students—although using the same stories, lessons and exercises—will benefit according to their age and innate ability.

​

That said, parents and educators must decide which lessons their children should use. At one end of the learning continuum, babies in cribs as well as toddlers in diapers should not undertake, so to speak, anything other than Lullabies and Nursery Rhymes. At the other extreme—foreigners, even PhD’s and other well educated adults who want to speak English properly—should study practically all of the material we have to offer. The reason for this is that they may enlarge their vocabulary, as well as better their pronunciation. A point of fact, several of our documents contain virtually every one-syllable word in the English lexicon, as well as various multi-syllabic words. All of which may be looked up and heard by a choice of unabridged dictionaries.

One of our products that warrants special mention is Multilinguals, which are the stories of TRWRR translatable into vast number of languages of which many can be read aloud. Hence, not only can foreign speakers learn English but native and non-native English speakers as well  can gain some level of proficiency in any foreign language of interest to them.

Essentially, Totally Literate, besides being super efficacious is also tons of fun to use...for everyone! Moreover, the program never talks down to older children nor even to mature adults. Parents and teachers—they too—should enjoy it every bit as much as, if not more than, do their youngsters.
