Adobe PDFs
Notwithstanding features previously mentioned on the Phonics Tab and on the Vocabulary Tab under Unabridged Dictionaries. Adobe's also work in tandem with Google Translate.
Translated PDFs have practical value only for eight files. These are the four TRWRR Interactive Stories in English and the four TRWRR Interactive Stories in both English and Spanish.
We'll first look at the first type. Then, at the bottom of this page, we'll look at the other type.
Steps to translate an Adobe PDF
Step One:
We click on Documents.
Step Two:
After we click on Documents, our screen will look like it as it does below. Now we click the long blue rectangular button that says, Choose your File.
Steps Three and Four:
For our example, we have chosen Set 1 of Interactive Stories, which is available to Jade Members and above. If you're not yet such a member and would like to follow along with a PDF you likely have already downloaded, you could choose one of the samples under the Phonics tab.
From the menu that will pop-up, in this order, we click the down caret, then pick Italian from the list that will pop up.
Next, we click on Translate in the blue rectangle.
Step Five:
After we have clicked on Translate, the PDF will automatically open in Italian, as displayed by the title page in the image below.
To change the TTS voice from English to Italian, we click the Hamburger Menu, pictured on the top left of the image below.
Step Six:
Then we click on Preferences from the Hamburger Menu.
Steps Seven, Eight and Nine:
Next, we click on Reading from the following pop-up menu, then we click on the TTS name in the Voice Box and choose Elisa, the Italian voice.
Step Eight:
Click on Reading from the next pop-up menu.
Step Ten:
Lastly, we make sure that Read out loud is activated. We do so by clicking on View, then Read out loud, and Activate read out loud. These steps are depicted in the image below. If necessary, we click on Deactivate read out loud to turn on this feature.
The only supported languages other than English for Read out loud as well as Translate are shown in the table below:
Regarding TRWRR Interactive PDFs for English and Spanish, to which Ruby members and above are entitled, there are a few things viewers should know about them. First, all the steps are the same as they are for the former type except for two additional steps:

Step X:

We click View, then Page display then Two-page view. Depiction is shown in the illustration below.

Note, the image below depicts how the first story of the PDF looks in the Two-page view. All 361 stories are translated by humans rather than machines.

Step Y:

We should pick one of the two Spanish choices. These voices speak Spanish properly, as you might expect, and they can speak English fairly well too, although in broken English. Whereas both TTS English voices make no pretense of speaking Spanish properly. In any regard, if Spanish speakers want to hear proper English and don't care at all to hear Spanish spoken, then they should pick an English voice.
